ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. — The Allegan County Dive Team recovered a car that had gone into Monterey Lake late Saturday afternoon.
According to the Allegan County Sheriff's Department, the owner and the dog were able to get out the car before it sunk 30-40 yards into the lake. Allegan County Marine Patrol was able to use sonar equipment to locate the vehicle as it was not visible from above the water.
Officials say there were no injuries to anyone involved, and alcohol was not a factor in this incident.
