WALKER, Mich. — An Investigation is underway into what started a fire at a Walker apartment complex.
The fire broke out around 3:40 Saturday morning in an attack of The Westown at Wilson Apartments on Westown Dr NW. across the street from the Meijer on Wilson Ave NW.
Fire officials say the roof of the complex collapsed but that everyone is safe. No injuries were reported but officials performed at least five rescues.
The Red Cross is working to assist those who have been displaced because of the fire.
