GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids police have made an arrest connected to a Jan. 3 homicide.

Andre Dimetre Sims, 23, of Grand Rapids is in custody at the Kent County Correctional Facility, a news release said Friday.
Detectives with the department’s Major Case Team presented the case to the Kent County Prosecutor’s Office on Jan. 14.
Sims is being charged with homicide – open murder, felony firearm and being a habitual offender.
If convicted, Sims faces life in prison.
