GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Allegiant announced on Tuesday new nonstop flights from Gerald R. Ford International Airport to Portland, Oregon, and a limited route to Rapid City, South Dakota.
To celebrate, the company is offering one-way fares on the new routes as low as $79, though that fare isn’t available on all flights, according to a news release.
“With its endless array of outdoor recreation activities and cultural attractions, Portland is a picture-perfect Pacific Northwest getaway for local residents – and Allegiant’s brand of affordable, nonstop service makes for a convenient, stress-free trip,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant’s senior vice president of revenue. “In addition, our limited special service to Rapid City will offer motorcycle aficionados unique, direct access to all the excitement Sturgis 2021 has to offer.”
Service to Portland begins June 4 and the limited route to Rapid City begins Aug. 4.
The new flights will operate twice per week.
Flight days, times, and fares can be found on Allegiant’s website.
“We so appreciate the strong partnership we have with Allegiant, which continues to help us connect our community to the world,” said Tory Richardson, president and CEO of Gerald R. Ford International Airport Authority. “The addition of these two nonstop flights further strengthens that relationship, giving business and leisure travelers convenient and accessible options.”
