GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Gaby’s Gourmandise, an authentic French restaurant, is expected to open at Downtown Market Grand Rapids in early spring.
Chef Jean-Gabriel Ferrandon brings 20 years of experience in the culinary arts to downtown Grand Rapids. Chef Gaby, as he is called, worked at La Tour D’Argent, one of the oldest Parisian restaurants, according to Downtown Market Grand Rapids.
“I have a deep desire to share my love of food with my community,” says Chef Gaby. “I make all of my own doughs from scratch, and I am determined to utilize the freshest and finest ingredients from local sources as much as possible, with a few refined ingredients from France.”
We’re told Gaby’s Gourmandise will offer a variety of options such as crepes, cookies, eclairs, galettes, quiches and much, much more.
The restaurant will be situated where Sweetie-licious Bake Shoppe is currently located before closing Feb. 26.
