Grand Rapids police seek 6-month-old following assault

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Grand Rapids Police Department needs your help locating a six-month-old child.

Police say Jeremiah Gordon Jr. may be with his father, Jeremiah Andrew Gordon Sr., or Darrian Ontae Bruce, a friend of the father.

Gordon Jr. was taken following a domestic assault Thursday morning in northeast Grand Rapids, authorities say, adding that Gordon Sr. is wanted for the incident.

The infant is not expected to be in danger, but GRPD wishes to check on his welfare.

Police say the child may be riding in a black 2003 Chevy Avalanche (MI license plate: DYZ7867).

UPDATE: Police say the child has been found safe and has been returned to his mother.
