GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Grand Rapids Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying two people involved in arson, according to a news release Monday.

It happened just before 1 a.m. Dec. 24 in the 400 block of Bayberry Point Drive NW.

Multiple 9-1-1 calls came into Grand Rapids Dispatch advising of fires and explosions in a carport.

The Grand Rapids and Walker fire departments were able to extinguish the fires with no injuries, but the carport and at least six vehicles were damaged.

An investigation by GRPD detectives has determined that the fires were a result of arson.

Surveillance videos and pictures from the area have produced two individuals involved and a vehicle.
