GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run late Wednesday night in Grand Rapids.
It happened about 10:30 p.m. near Michigan Avenue and Division Street, according to a news release Thursday.
Police and medical personnel pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
The vehicle that hit the victim was described by a witness as a white SUV.
Investigators believe the vehicle is a white Nissan Rogue manufactured between 2013-2019.

The vehicle fled westbound on Michigan Street after the crash and should have front-end damage.
The victim, a 59-year-old Grand Rapids man, isn't being identified pending notification of next of kin.
