2 dead and another injured after overnight shooting in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids Police says officers were still on scene early Thursday morning after a shooting left 2 dead and another in critical condition after an overnight shooting on the city's southwest side.

It happened in the area of Stafford and Burton streets in Grand Rapids.

Officers responded to the home on Stafford Ave. around 10:50 p.m. They found several people inside with 3 suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police say 2 men were ruled dead at the scene, a third victim is hospitalized in critical condition. Officers tell FOX 17 several other people were inside the home but were not hurt.

Investigators did not provide an update on a suspect in the shooting, but say there is no danger to the public.
