GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Police in Grand Rapids say they are investigating the homicide of a 23-year-old man that happened Sunday night.
Officers tried to stop a vehicle driving recklessly in the area of Burton and Division SE around 9 p.m. Police say the after crashing the car near the intersection, officers discovered the victim suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.
Police say they tried to save the man, but he later died at the hospital.
GRPD says the incident may be related related to a shots fired call in the area of Burton and Collins SE around the same time.
No suspects are in custody.
