BOON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A Grand Rapids man is dead after a crash while riding a snowmobile this weekend.
Michigan State Police says it happened just before 1 p.m. Sunday on a trail in Wexford County.
Troopers say the driver, a 28-year-old Matthew Gardner from Grand Rapids, lost control while making a turn and struck a tree.
He died from his injuries. Authorities said he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
