One man hospitalized in Grand Rapids shooting

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids Police are searching for suspects in a shooting on the southeast side Friday night.

GRPD responded to a call of shots fired near 2000 Kalamazoo Avenue just after 8:30 p.m. Soon after, a man was reportedly admitted to a nearby hospital with a gun shot wound to the neck.

When questioned, the man told police he was shot near Kalamazoo Avenue and Alger Street, near where the shots were originally heard.

The scene is still under investigation. The man's injuries are serious, but not life-threatening.
