GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — No one was injured when a train hit a Rapid bus Monday in Grand Rapids.
Grand Rapids police say the bus driver stopped for the tracks and, when he started to cross, he couldn’t make it because of the ice.
The crossing arms came down and the driver saw the train coming, so he got all passengers off the bus and out of the way.
He also tried to flag the train to stop.
The train slowed and only hit the bus at about four miles per hour.
The train did not derail.
