GRAND RAPIDS — Much of our everyday lives are impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic in one way or another.

While some issues require immediate attention, others aren't noticeable right away, that is until it comes time for a haircut.

With hair salons closed through mid-April, some people may wonder how to control their mane until Michigan's stay-home order is lifted. While it may be tempting, stylists urge people not to do anything to their hair that they might regret later.

Sarah Allchin, stylist with Brindle and Blonde salon in downtown Grand Rapids, offers some helpful tips for men and women.

Allchin also encourages people to support their local salons during this temporary closure. Many places are still offering gift packages, gift cards and discounted products during this time.
