GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Drivers are urged to find a different route after a truck fell off the highway at the ramp located at US-131 SB to I-196 WB in downtown Grand Rapids Tuesday morning.
MSP says the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck is completely on the ground below the ramp.
Troopers on investigating a fatal semi crash on southbound US-131 ramp to I-196 westbound. Initial investigation is the semi was traveling too fast on the ramp, lost control, and tipped over the edge of the roadway. The driver was pronounced deceased on scene. Emergency crews have responded and the area is expected to be blocked for some time.
