GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Several people have been arrested and two men are in the hospital following a shooting at a Grand Rapids hotel Wednesday morning.

One of the men, 21, was shot in his right upper thigh and is in stable condition.

The other man, 22, was shot in his leg and is in critical condition.

Grand Rapids Police say the shooting occurred around 1:14 a.m. at the Fairfield Inn & Suites off 28th Street at 3930 Stahl Drive SE.

They responded quickly after reports of 30 rounds fired in the parking lot.

Following their investigation, police were led to a hotel room inside of Homewood Suites, which shares a parking lot with Fairfield Inn & Suites.

Several people in that hotel room were arrested without incident. Police say it’s unknown what their involvement is at this time.

Multiple vehicles in the parking lot were struck by bullets, including one of the victim's vehicles.

GRPD says it is still unclear how many people were involved in the shooting.

The victims are not giving police much information.

Police are also working with the hotels to get surveillance video and interviewing witnesses on the scene.
