Woman charged with inciting riot in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A woman has been charged with one count of inciting a riot in connection with this weekend's riot in downtown Grand Rapids.

Alexandria Lyons, 22, is also charged with one count of malicious destruction of property, according to Chris Becker, prosecuting attorney, Kent County.

The count of inciting a riot is a felony punishable up to 10 years, and the count of destruction of property is a felony punishable up to 5 years.

Becker noted that she is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
