IONIA COUNTY — Officials in Ionia County say they are running short on COVID-19 vaccines as the state moves into the next round of vaccinations next week.
This comes as Gov. Whitmer announced on Wednesday the next phase includes people over the age of 65.
ionia County only has a small amount of vaccines that have already been spoken for and officials say they aren't ready for a large number of people who qualify in this group to get the vaccine right now.
Another supply should be ready by the end of the month.
