BELDING, Mich. — Classes are canceled at Belding schools on Friday after it was discovered a person who came to a school building may have been exposed to COVID-19.
In a letter to parents, superintendent Brent Noskey said school will be canceled rather than risking a chance of further exposure. The letter says he is working to get more details about the person who may have exposed and confirm they don’t have the virus.
“Some have advised me to just wait and see if this person truly does have the virus, because odds are he or she does not, but I do not believe this is in the best interest of our students,” the letter says.
