SARANAC, Mich. — A 65-year-old Saranac man was arraigned Monday in connection to child sexually abusive materials found in his home.

Daniel Campbell was arraigned on two counts of criminal sexual conduct in the second degree, three counts of possession of child sexually abusive materials and one count of using a computer to commit a crime, according to the Ionia County Sheriff’s Office.

He is being held in the Ionia County Jail on a $150,000 bond.

Deputies and detectives from the Ionia County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant Dec. 11 at a home on Wyandotte Court in the Village of Saranoc.

Police had received a criminal sexual conduct complaint earlier in the day involving a child not related to Campbell.

Multiple electronic items were seized suspected of containing child sexually abusive materials.

Campbell was interviewed by detectives and arrested that evening.

Because of Campbell’s frequent contact with the neighborhood children near and in his home, Ionia County police are concerned other victims may be involved.

Anyone who thinks they or their child may have had inappropriate or sexual contact with Daniel Campbell may contact the Ionia County Sheriff’s Office at 616-527-5737 and ask for the Detective Bureau.
