3:30 p.m. update: The name of the suspect in the incident has been released, as her mugshot is posted above.
Thomasina Shani Jones of Montezuma Creek, Utah, was arraigned this afternoon in Ionia County.
Jones is currently being held at the Ionia County Jail with no bond.
1:30 p.m.:The driver involved in a July crash that killed Trooper Caleb Starr is now under arrest.
Michigan State Police announced the 28-year-old woman from Utah was taken into custody on Monday morning.
She faces 4 charges, including 2nd degree murder, drunk driving, and driving with a suspended license. According to Michigan State Police, the driver was previously convicted of drunk driving.
Police arrested the woman in Ionia. Her identity is not being released until she is arraigned in court.
Trooper Starr died on July 31, weeks after the crash on July 10. Several efforts are underway to support his wife and 2 young daughters.
