GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Regional Director of AMR Michigan John Robben wants to remind people about the importance of calling 911 during emergencies.
Robben said fears over COVID-19 has caused a drop in 911 calls and more people with life-threatening conditions are waiting too long to get care.
While there is a stay-at-home order in place, people should still call 911 if they are dealing with a medical emergency, Robben said.
Calling 911 is the most important step in getting care fastly and increasing your chances for survival.
