GAINES TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Authorities are investigating a bank robbery this morning in Gaines Township.
At 10:50 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a robbery at the TCF Bank at 6225 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, according to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office today.
The suspect allegedly entered the bank and demanded money from tellers.
He fled the scene, possibly in a dark-colored, smaller SUV, according to the sheriff's office.
The sheriff's office described the suspect as a Black male in his 20s, less than 6’0”, with average build and darker complexion. He was wearing a purple or maroon three-quarters-length jacket.
The Kent County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI are investigating the incident.
