Kolodziej was forced to resign after admitting to having an inappropriate personal relationship with a victim in an Isabella County sexual assault case. Additionally, Kolodziej had another inappropriate relationship with a special agent from Attorney General Dana Nessel's office assigned to a case, which has since been dismissed, that the 7 Investigators has long followed involving charges against former Detroit police officer Sean MacMaster and his stepfather, Larry Orr.

During that investigation, it was uncovered that the special agent involved with Kolodziej, who was working the case, had provided untruthful statements under oath during MacMaster and Orr's bond hearing.

After an internal investigation into Kolodziej’s actions, Nessel announced she was dismissing the chargesagainst MacMaster and Orr.

Thursday's press conference will be held via Zoom at 3 p.m.
