KENTWOOD, Mich. — THe Kentwood Police Department is investigating an accident that killed one person and left another in critical condition.
The accident occurred around 1:30 a.m. this morning near the 4100 block of 28th St. SE.
A westbound vehicle was traveling in the eastbound lanes before colliding with an eastbound vehicle.
Both drivers were taken to Mercy Health/St. Mary’s Hospital.
One driver has been pronounced dead and the other is in critical condition.
A third vehicle was also involved, with no injuries reported.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in this incident.
The accident remains under investigation by the Kentwood Police Department’s Traffic Services Bureau.
