KENTWOOD, Mich. — February is Black History Month, and Woodland Mall is hosting its seventh annual African American Live Museum this weekend.

The event runs Saturday, February 29, from 2 to 5 p.m. Guests will be able to see 20 different live performances featuring prominent black figures.

The one-day only exhibit will feature actors portraying notable and important African-American notables in politics, sports, science, arts, entertainment and other areas.

The event is brought to the mall in part by New Hope Baptist Church in Grand Rapids. The actors are all volunteers ages 10-72 and all from the church.
