KENTWOOD, Mich. — Families who decided to order out Wednesday night in Kentwood were in for a surprise visit by police.

Kentwood Police, thanks to a $1,000 donation from Lacks Enterprises, paid for meals at Al-Bos Eurocafe-Bakery and Daniele's Pizzeria.

The pop-up event is the first in a planned series that will feature locally-owned restaurants with the hope to support them during the financially difficult pandemic.

Local businesses interested in participating can call Sergeant Tim Wierenga at (616) 656-6561.
