GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — A Grand Rapids family celebrated their new year by welcoming a daughter.
Sumayah Abdalla Annia Murjaan was born at Friday, January 1st, at 12:57 a.m. at Spectrum Health Butterworth.
Parents, Brianna Rincone and Abdalla Abdi told FOX 17 that everyone is happy, healthy, and that delivery went smoothly.
Rincone said, "I pushed and she came out within 30 minutes."

Baby Sumayah arrived a little ahead of schedule, weighing in at 8 pounds, five ounces, and is 21 inches long.
Rincone was able to have Abdi, her husband, in the delivery room and felt very safe knowing that the doctors and nurses at Spectrum Health were taking necessary COVID-19 precautions.
She said she's looking forward to 2021 and telling her daughter all about the year they've had.
"I’m excited to do her birthday parties and just for her to have these memories and always have a story to tell; like how she was born, when she was born and whatnot," Rincone said.
