Police make arrests in connection with car dealership break-ins

KENT COUNTY, Mich. — Police have arrested and charged several juveniles in connection with car dealership and cell phone store break-ins across West Michigan, the Kent County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday.

Dealerships in the area have seen several break-ins over the past several months.

Recently, Fox Motor Group had broken doors and windows in the building Friday morning.

Kent County police were also investigating a five break-ins Thursday morning, including one at the Betten Imports Auto Dealership on 28th Street in Cascade Township.

Others occurred at Motor Mall on 28th Street, Keller Ford in Walker and Prestige in Kentwood.

The investigation continues and it’s not clear if the incidents are connected. Police urge businesses to remain vigilant and take security precautions.
