COMSTOCK PARK — A precautionary boil water advisory has been issued for parts of Plainfield Township due to a water main break.
The advisory was issued for West River Drive, between Lamoreaux and 4 Mile , Creek Avenue, North Park Street, west of US-131.
Officials say the advisory is precautionary only.
They also say there have been no confirmed tests showing bacteria present in the water main at the location of the break.
All water intended for drinking or ingestion should be boiled for at least 2 minutes before using, until the advisory is lifted.
