KENTWOOD, Mich. — A local tree company came to the rescue of a kitten that was stuck in a tree in Kentwood on Wednesday.

The tree is located at a mobile home park near 44th and Division.

It all started when resident Rachael Connor posted a message in a Grand Rapids Facebook group asking who to call if a kitten is stuck in a tree.

The post generated a lot of comments from group members, but it was CoVannah Tree Service LLC that stepped in to help the kitten for free.

CoVannah Tree Service crew members arrived at the scene and worked for nearly an hour to rescue the kitten.

The kitten eventually jumped down from the tree and ran off.

Connor says she was able to find the kitten later that night and bring the kitten to her home. According to her, the kitten is a stray in the neighborhood.

She tells us she is planning to take the kitten to the vet to make she sure is OK.

Connor says she plans to keep the kitten.

The video of the rescue can be watched below:
