TEKONSHA TWP., Mich. — One person is dead following a two-car crash that happened along I-69 Monday night.
Michigan State Police say the crash happened just before 10 p.m. One of the vehicles involved broke down in the middle of the highway after hitting a deer while traveling southbound near M-60.
Troopers tell us the two people inside that vehicle were able to safely exit and walk off the freeway, before a second car came along and crashed into the disabled vehicle. The second car then veered off the road, striking a tree.
First responders performed CPR on the driver of the second car, who was later pronounced dead at the hospital. No one else was in the vehicle at the time.
No names have been released just yet. The crash remains under investigation.
