BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Crews responded to a house fire in Battle Creek Tuesday evening.
They arrived on scene in the area of Lamora Avenue and Kellogg Street to discover black smoke billowing from the back of the home, according to the Battle Creek Fire Department.
We’re told crews extinguished the fire quickly while a separate unit searched for victims. Authorities say the fire dealt "severe damage" to the structure.
The fire department says no victims were found in the structure, and no firefighters were injured.
The fire is currently under investigation.
