KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Kalamazoo police are investigating after a person was hit by gunfire while sitting in their car Tuesday night.
It happened about 9:40 p.m. near the intersection of S. Park and Balch streets, according to a news release Wednesday.
Once on scene, KDPS officers found a victim inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound and immediately provided medical treatment.
The victim, a 32-year-old Portage resident, was transported to a nearby hospital for an injury that wasn’t considered life-threatening.
No one has been arrested in connection with the shooting as of Wednesday morning.
