KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Two people sustained gunshot wounds in Kalamazoo Thursday morning.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) says the shooting happened before 11 a.m. on West Lovell Street near Davis Street.
We’re told officers arrived to find two men with gunshot wounds and began providing medical aid.
One of the victims was taken to a hospital where they died shortly after, public safety officials say. He has since been identified as 35-year-old Tyrone Jerome Potts from Kalamazoo.
The shooting remains under investigation but KDPS does not believe it occurred as a random act of violence.
Authorities are now seeking a vehicle of interest, described as a white Dodge Journey with the license plate “7PJS08.”
