KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A vehicle hit a building Wednesday in Kalamazoo after the driver lost control, according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.
Officers responded to the 200 block of East Michigan Avenue and found a single vehicle had lost control, left the roadway and hit the building.
The building was closed for business and unoccupied at the time of the crash.
The driver, a 21-year-old Kalamazoo resident, received minor injuries and was treated by on-scene paramedics.
Alcohol appears to have been a factor in the crash and the driver was arrested and lodged at the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office on an alcohol-related driving offense.
