KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The City of Kalamazoo says they plan to relaunch Inventory Kalamazoo next month.
Inventory Kalamazoo is a survey that will be conducted to document the city’s historic buildings and the conditions they are presently in, the City tells us.
We’re told the project began early last year but was temporarily shelved due to COVID-19.
The City, joined by the Historic Preservation Commission, asks for volunteers to photograph historic buildings and document their conditions. They add the survey will be done from March 15 through the end of May.
“The survey will rely on volunteers to help with this inventory, surveying in your own neighborhood or getting to know another neighborhood across town,” says Historic Preservation Coordinator Sharon Ferraro. “Find a friend and get outside in the fresh air, doing something that’s both interesting and helps our community.”
