KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. — Police say two people were shot and killed in Galesburg Thursday morning.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office says the deadly shooting happened around 6:30 a.m. at the Galesburg Village Apartments.
Neighbors told Fox 17 that the tenant across the hall in their apartment complex shot them both this morning.
When deputies arrived, they discovered two people dead with gunshot wounds.
“I was like, can you elaborate a little bit more and he said that he felt like they were following him around the apartment, like they were mimicking what he was doing” said former property manager Tara Brooks. “But the apartments are butted back to back. Maybe if they were below you, they could do that butted up like that.”
The sheriff’s office says a suspect was immediately found and taken into custody.
The names of victims and suspect have not yet been released.
