COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Kalamazoo County fire officials are investigating two suspicious fires at the same unoccupied home Tuesday morning in Comstock Township.

The Comstock Fire Department was dispatched about 5:30 a.m. to the fire at 725 Azuba Avenue, which was reported by a neighbor, according to a news release.

Fire crews arrived to find heavy fire throughout the two-story home.

No injuries were reported.

The fire department was also dispatched just after 2 a.m. to a vehicle fire in the back of the same residence.

The vehicle was near the house, but the fire did not extend there.

Light smoke was ventilated from the house.

The Comstock Fire Marshal and Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating both fires.

Both are considered suspicious with undetermined causes at this point.
