KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The Fire Marshal's office in Kalamazoo is currently investigating the cause of the fire that started on the front porch of a house in Kalamazoo.

Saturday morning at approximately 6:45 a.m., Kalamazoo Public Safety responded to a house fire in the 1300 block of Alamo Ave.

The initial report indicated that there were kids inside the home.

Upon arrival the front porch was on fire, with smoke coming from the windows.

Several firefighters were able to contain the active fire, with smoke extending inside the home.

No one was located inside the house.

Kalamazoo Public Safety declared the cause of the fire suspicious, as this incident is now under investigation by the Fire Marshal's office
