OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A man is in the hospital after he was shot Monday morning in Kalamazoo County.
The shooting happened around 11:40 a.m. in the area of 11th Street and W Michigan Avenue in Oshtemo Township.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office says people who live nearby will see a large police presence as they investigate, but there is no danger to the public and a female suspect is in custody. Investigators say the suspect ran away after the shooting, but was found after a K-9 search.
Authorities didn’t specify the condition of the victim.
