Man in serious condition after shooting at Oshtemo Twp apartment complex

OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Michigan State Police troopers from the Paw Paw post are investigating a shooting from early Wednesday morning in Oshtemo Township.

It happened about 12:30 a.m. at the Concord Apartment Complex, according to a news release.

A 29-year-old Battle Creek resident was shot while in his vehicle in the north parking lot of the complex.

MSP says the shooters reportedly fled the scene on foot.

The victim received immediate treatment for his injury and was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he remains in serious condition.

A canine track was attempted but did not successfully find the shooters.

Troopers were assisted by the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office and the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.

The investigation continues.
