TEXAS TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Michigan State Police say a living Jane Doe found by a hiker in Kalamazoo County last week has been identified.
Troopers say a hiker found an adult woman in the Al Sabo land preserve in Texas Township around 6 p.m. on Thursday.
State police say the woman was carrying a garbage bag full of clothes and had no identification.
According to troopers, the woman was taken to Bronson Hospital for medical care and evaluation.
Troopers initially were unable to communicate with the woman and all attempts to identify her had failed.
Monday afternoon, MSP announced the woman had been identified.
Troopers say the woman is in good health and remains in the care of Adult Protective Services.
MSP says additional information about the investigation will not be released at this time.
