KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A woman is hospitalized and in serious condition following a crash in Kalamazoo Tuesday afternoon, according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.
Kalamazoo dispatchers say the crash briefly closed both lanes on Lovers Lane between Lakeway Avenue and Kilgore Road but has since reopened to traffic.
Officers were dispatched to reports of a crash in the 4200 Block of Lovers Lane around 2:30 p.m. today.
Officers arrived at what appeared to be a head-on crash and saw that one of the drivers was outside of her vehicle, was not breathing, and had no pulse.
After medical attention from the officers, the woman regained a pulse and began breathing before being transported to a hospital.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
