KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The wife of a pastor accused of sexually abusing children has been arraigned on charges that she recruited teenage boys to sleep with her.
Jazmonique Strickland appeared before a Kalamazoo County judge Monday morning, pleading not guilty to 8 counts. Those charges include 3rd degree criminal sexual conduct with a student, child sex abuse, and human trafficking of a minor.
According to the prosecutor's office, Strickland and her husband, Stricjavvar, used their position within the Kalamazoo Public School district to contact the students. Investigators tell FOX 17 the couple recruited the teen boys so that Jazmonique could have sex with them.
Stricjavvar Strickland faces three counts of criminal sexual conduct in the third degree, two counts of child sexual abuse and three counts of trafficking of a minor for commercial sexual activity.
