WEST MICHIGAN — A Kalamazoo pastor is now considered a fugitive after not turning himself in on 11 felony charges, including child abuse, human trafficking and sexual activity with a child.

Stricjavvar "Strick" Strickland called authorities this morning, claiming he was having car trouble and could not make the time he was expected to appear, according to Lt. Charles Christensen with the Michigan State Police today.

Strickland's case is now assigned to the MSP Fugitive Task Force.

In September 2018, Michigan State Police said Strickland was accused of criminal sexual conduct and pandering.
