MARTIN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — One person was arrested on unrelated charges after a semi crash over the weekend in Allegan County.
Deputies responded about 5:30 a.m. Sunday to the area of southbound US131 south in M222 in Martin Township to reports that a semi had crashed on the west side of the highway.
Upon arrival, they found the male driver, a female passenger and a dog were involved in the single-vehicle crash, a news release said Monday.
The driver was taken into custody during the investigation.
Efforts to recover to semi were hampered by “extremely poor” visibility due to fog.
Because of other weather-related incidents, the semi was left on the side of the roadway until visibility cleared.
