LEE TOWNSHIP — The Allegan County sheriff confirmed that a murder-suicide took place on Saturday, involving a family with two kids.

Deputies were called to a residence in Lee Township on 54th Street after a man called 911.

He told authorities he went to the house to check on the family. When no one came to the door, the man peered through windows until he found a woman, his niece, unresponsive in a bedroom on the bottom floor.

FOX 17 spoke with a neighbor, who said they heard at least three gunshots around 12:30 pm.

Deputies arrived on scene around 12:30 pm, making entry at the front door. They discovered a man, woman, and two kids dead from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

Roger Kyle Haggar, 34, Cindy Clouse, 35, and their two children were deceased, according to the Allegan County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators say Haggar most likely shot the woman and children, before shooting himself, however, the official manner of death has yet to be determined.

In a statement sent to FOX 17, the Clouse family expressed their appreciation for the outpouring of sympathy from the community.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Cindy, Autumn, and Makenzie. Cindy was a loving mother who cared deeply for her family. Autumn wanted to be a dermatologist, Mackenzie wanted a big family. In an awful moment they were violently taken from this world, and the ripples of pain and anguish have reverberated through their family and friends. We appreciate the outpouring of love and support from family, friends, and strangers.

Mackenzie was 10 according to family, Autumn would've turned 14 on January 10th.
