COOPERSVILLE — An organization that helps children with special needs get the medical equipment they need vows to keep going strong amid the pandemic.
Lori's Voice is an non-profit that provides assistance like wheelchairs and specialized vans. They rely heavily on donations and sponsorships in order to get the kids their much-needed medical equipment. As expected, donations and sponsorships are down at the moment, but the children's needs never stop.
"We're just excited when the bans are all lifted and we could be back with the kids, watching them and just celebrating life with them," Founder, Lori Hastings, said.
Lori's Voice Walk for the Challenged, one of their biggest fundraisers of the year, has been postponed from June until sometime this summer. The date has yet to be set.
