Muskegon Police are investigating after a video surfaced of a snake eating a cat

MUSKEGON, Mich. — Muskegon Police are investigating after a 21-year-old shared a video of a constrictor snake eating a cat.

Officers met with the snake's owner who said he was out of town when it happened.

The 21-year-old admitted to seeing it and sharing to social media.

The snake and other animals have been removed from the home, and Pound Buddies is helping to re-home them.

Police say there were no other signs of abuse and they're passing the case along to the Muskegon County Prosecutor's office to file charges.
